We hired Ruben's painting to paint the exterior home. Over the phone, he stated he would would paint, patch stucco fixtures, and sand wood trims. Only thing he did was power wash and paint the exterior of the home. Their quality of work was not what we expected. The owner and his workers failed to provide exceptional work. They were suppose to patch stucco fixtures, sand wood trims. The paint on the front door and vents are peeling off. The work was messy and they did not clean up well. They left paint all over the roofing tile and windows.The owner should be around more to supervise his workers. We are dissatisfied and disappointed with this business. Please do your due diligence before hiring this company.
We’re currently flipping a house from the late 60s. We stripped popcorn ceilings ourselves in the entire house, re-textured every ceiling and wall, replaced all of the trim, and repainted every surface. We painted the ceilings with a roller extension- it was by far my least favorite part of renovations so far- so much easier if you do it before flooring is in though! I agree heavily with your decision to buy the higher end brushes. Choosing the quality tools over the cheap ones, even despite the price, is definitely the right way to go when undergoing a DIY painting project. The difference it provides is day and night! In my opinion, the money used to buy the top tier equipment saves you from any extra stress or headaches that poor quality brushes or tape can cause, so in the end it really is a win!
